Education Development Center (EDC)

Education Development Center (EDC) is a global nonprofit organization founded in 1958. EDC designs, delivers and evaluates innovative programs to address some of the world’s most urgent challenges in education, health, and economic opportunity. Working with public-sector and private partners, EDC harness the power of people and systems to improve education, health promotion and care, workforce preparation, communications technologies, and civic engagement. EDC currently conducts 350 projects in 35 countries around the world; services include research, training, educational materials and strategy with activities ranging from seed projects to large-scale national and international initiatives. This organization enjoys worldwide reputation for its excellence in program and fiscal management and for the impact of its work.

The work of EDC is supported through grants and contracts from a variety of sources, including U.S. and foreign government agencies, private foundations, non-profit organizations, universities, and corporations.
